World of Warcraft Fanzine Issue #2 - Memories

Who can forget their first time playing Warcraft?

That feeling of staring at the character select screen for the first time, agonizing over what type of character you wanted to play, what class, and what faction. The first loading in and seeing a large, open world full of possibilities. The first time you leveled up, and felt more powerful. Entering a dungeon and working with other people to get through it, and then getting a powerful upgrade afterward. How about when you first followed an amazing storyline and bonded with the lore characters? Or the first time entering into a Raid and seeing the large, epic battles within?

What about your first time Roleplaying on an RP server? Creating your first character and writing their backstory? Joining a guild and becoming a part of something bigger? Jumping into an ongoing server campaign and helping direct the direction of the story just from your actions alone? Making friends with powerful, unique characters and creating a story with them?

What about outside of the game? Taking those friendships outside of Warcraft and meeting face to face for the first time? Celebrating someone's life milestones and seeing them grow and develop as a person?

Warcraft is more than just digital weapons and epic loot or achievements, raiding, PvP, factions, and such. It's a community. Many of our lives - especially among long-term players - have been changed in ways by this game, from relationships, friendships, job changes, growth, and more.

This issue represents Memories—the memories we've made along the way and how we've changed over the years. All the stories, art, and screenshots within document those changes over the last twenty years of this franchise.

Here's to the last 20 years of Warcraft, and to 20 more years!
